The STIHL TS 500i gas cut-off machine uses a 350 mm cutting wheel, for example the STIHL D-BA80 diamond cutting wheel, and is suitable for professional use in the fields of building construction, civil engineering and road construction. Equipped with the innovative, electronically controlled STIHL Injection system, the STIHL 2-MIX engine of this power tool guarantees very good running characteristics and high torque. What’s more, the STIHL TS 500i is particularly easy to start, with just one starting position. The STIHL ElastoStart function and decompression valve also reduce the effort required to start the cut-off machine. The ergonomic handle design and, in particular, the STIHL anti-vibration system protects muscles and joints while you work. The reduction of vibrations also helps you to guide the machine precisely as it cuts.

The electronic water control system automatically switches the water supply on and off to ensure optimally metered watering of the cutting wheel. Fine dosing can be controlled easily via a keypad. By ensuring a long filter service life, the long-life air filter system allows you to benefit from particularly easy maintenance for the STIHL TS 500i gas-driven cut-off machine. Its drive can easily be retensioned using the semi-automatic belt tensioning function, which extends the life of the belt and bearing.

STIHL INJECTION

HIGH PERFORMANCE IN COMPACT DESIGN

The electronic fuel injection control unit continuously calculates the correct fuel supply and the ideal ignition time, and injection is performed directly into the crankcase via the injection valve. Additionally, sensors measure air pressure and internal and external temperature, and pass information on to the control unit. This can use the identified values to determine the optimum fuel quantity and ignition timing. This means that your power tool offers more power from a similar weight and installation space compared to engines without injection.

STIHL 2-MIX ENGINE

HIGHLY POWER-EFFICIENT With the STIHL 2- MIX engine, you can reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption., and therefore operating costs. This 2-stroke engine is low-maintenance and uses fuel even at high power levels. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-MIX engine complies with the strict EU Stage V emissions directive.

LONG-LIFE AIR FILTER SYSTEM FOR CUT-OFF MACHINES

ENSURES A LONG FILTER SERVICE LIFE. The long-life air filter system for cut-off machines does not collect coarse dust particles, but uses cyclone air routing to separate them and then discharges them into the ambient air. With just this first step the system removes around 80% of dust particles in the intake air. This enables an extremely long filter service life, and makes the tool easy to maintain.

STIHL ANTI-VIBRATION SYSTEM

FOR MORE PLEASANT WORK. Vibrations can occur When you put your power tools through their paces, and these are particularly noticeable in the grip area. The buffer and spring elements of the anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of engine vibrations to the handle area and therefore to your body. The result is that your power tool is more comfortable to hold and your work is much less tiring.

SEMI AUTOMATIC V-BELT TENSIONING

EXTENDS THE BELT’S SERVICE LIFE. Semi. automatic STIHL belt tensioning makes it easier for you to re-tension the drive belt. All you need is to adjust the adjustment screw with your spark plug wrench. Consistent tension extends the service life of the belt and bearing. MANUAL DECOMPRESSION

EFFORTLESS START-UP. The decompression valve makes it easier to start your power tool. When starting, you can allow some of the compressed mixture to escape from the cylinder by opening the valve. This protects the start-up system and reduces the amount of force required on the starter cord.
