Ted Smith founded Smithco with one product, the famous “RedRider” Utility Truck, as well as faith in the future and a lot of hardwork. Today Smithco is a multi-million dollar manufacturing, engineering and marketing organization with world wide distribution. Production facilities are located in Wisconsin and Kansas and administrative offices are outside Philadelphia in Wayne Pa. And although Ted isn’t here to celebrate, his spirit survives. Smithco continues to operate as a family business with the values that were important to Ted, still just as important now.
